Dr. Kryukov is the author of more than 100 research works on the problems of state cultural policy, interethnic and ethno-confessional relations of the peoples of the Russian Federation, the history of religions, the specifics of the interaction of religion, society and the state, the theory and practice of preserving the material cultural heritage and the issues of legislative regulation of cultural heritage in modern society. He is the head and executor of research within the framework of the state assignment and state order of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. He heads the working group of the Organizing Committee of the International Research Forum “Cultural Heritage of the North Caucasus as a Resource of Interethnic Concord”. He participated in the preparation of the State Report on the State of Culture in the Russian Federation in 2014 and 2015, in the conducting of a departmental survey of the quality of provided public services, in the development of the Concept of the Federal Register of Experts in Interethnic and Interfaith Interaction, in the implementation of socially important projects under grants from the President of the Russian Federation. Currently, Dr. Kryukov is a certified expert in conducting state historical and cultural examination, a member of the editorial board of the academic publication “Cultural Heritage of the North Caucasus as a Resource of Interethnic Concord”, a member of the Regional Research and Methodological Council for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage under the Office for State Protection of the Cultural Heritage of Krasnodar Krai. Dr. Kryukov is an independent expert reviewer in a number of Russian peer-reviewed academic publications, including those indexed in global citation databases.
