Irina I. Gorlova is the author of more than 200 scientific works, including monographs, manuals and books, concerning the problems of theory and history of culture, cultural policy, artistic education. Under her leadership, the major researches and educational projects were implemented, a concept of a unit educational space in a field of culture and art in the South of Russia and a strategy for the optimal placement of the educational institutions of the system of culture and art was developed, more than 30 doctors thesis were defended. Currently, Irina I. Gorlova is a member of the Council for Science under the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, a member of the commission for assessing the performance of the scientific organizations subordinate to the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, is a member of the editorial boards of the scientific journals “Tomsk State University Journal of Cultural Studies and Art History”, “Issues of Cultural Studies”, “Culturology Journal”, ”Journal of the Institute of Heritage”.
