Вымышленные святые и вымыслы о святых: почитание святых между церковным контролем и традицией
Аннотация
Исследование посвящено христианским святым, историчность которых не подтверждается или подвергается сомнению, и призвано определить источники средневековых нарративов о вымышленных святых и охарактеризовать значение соответствующих текстов в аспекте научного осмысления средневековой истории и культуры. Материалами послужили агиографические сочинения, литургические тексты и другие источники. Рассмотрены легенды о Святом Георгии, исследованы обстоятельства зарождения его культа, выявлены характерные черты ранних повествований, посвященных ему. Отражен процесс постепенной рационализации и историизации соответствующих нарративов. Проанализированы примеры вымыслов о святых, характерных для классического Средневековья. Установлено, что их источниками были Евангелия, сочинения Отцов Церкви и предшествующие рассказы о святых. Данные повествования отражают чаяния и нужды людей Средневековья и их сообществ, фиксируя особый пласт исторической реальности, нуждающийся в пристальном изучении.
