Cultural determinants of creative activity
Abstract
There are two key ideas in cultural knowledge, the correlation of which is of research interest. The first idea is related to the cultural conditioning of members of society. The second idea assumes the determining value of human creative activity in the development of culture. As part of the correlation of these ideas, the question of the cultural certainty of creative activity and the relationship between creativity as the creation of something fundamentally new and the reproduction of culture based on the explication of its meanings is updated. The article provides an analytical review of the main theoretical approaches to the interpretation of creativity, various approaches to determining the creative status of individual cultural products, the problem of the ratio of content and form in creative activity, and modern conditions for creative activity. Conclusions are drawn about the relationship between individual and collective, culturally defined in the creative process.
