Fyodor Gladkov: Letters to Kuban

Аbstract: The publication contains some letters by Russian Soviet writer Fyodor Gladkov (1883-1958) to the Kuban historians Gregory Chuchmay and Jacob Kutsenko. Unique materials, introduce into scientific discourse for the first time, are devoted mainly to Gladkov personal memories of a pre-revolutionary period of his life and work. Main author’s attention is paid to the development of the revolutionary movement in the Kuban region and the Black Sea province at the beginning of the 20th century. Published texts also give some insight into the socio-political discussions and ideas prevalent among the provincial intellectuals of the Southern Russia at that time.
